Listed here are some of the matches you can engage in. Most have information on their schedules and fees that you can find on the home page under Schedules.
Combat Pistol
Combat pistol is not a nationally sanctioned match.
The goal of this shooting event is to help the shooter learn to operate their firearm under somewhat stressful scenarios. We do not keep score, but you can check targets to see where you placed your shots & most stages are started on a timer’s beep.
By working though stages shooter will have to:
- Maintain muzzle discipline at all time,
- Engage targets in a tactical manner,
- Perform reloads (planned and unplanned),
- Diagnose and clear any malfunctions to finish a stage.
Stages are designed to replicate situations that could happen in everyday life. Elements of some stages are shooting on the move, using cover & concealment, and even clearing rooms. All are just fun drills to work on your skills.
We have expanded to not only pistols, but now we have added a rifle to a stage on some of our shoots. With this the shooter will have to transition between rifle & pistol on a stage. These shoots are indicated on the schedule. You will need a sling for your rifle and a holster for your pistol for these stages.
Targets are a range of paper, plastic silhouettes & steel plates.
Firearms being used run the gambit from .22 semi-autos on up to .45 autos. If you have the speed loaders you can use a revolvers.
Holsters are needed if you want to try this out and don’t want to invest in a holster you can use a range bag to transport your pistol from stage to stage, at no time will firearms be handle behind the firing line or the maintenance area. If you are shooting the rifle stage you must have both a sling & holster
The shoot is set up to be shot within 50rds if you don’t miss with your pistol and 20-30rd for the rifle stage.
Service Rifle
We are a Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) affiliation and an NRA league. We only require that you be a SAFE shooter and comply with the direction of the range officials.
Scores are eligible for recognition by the CMP in the CMP sanctioned matches (EIC, Garand, Springfield, Carbine, RF Sporter, vintage sniper and 80 shot service rifle). NRA Mid-range and X-Course match scores will be turned into the NRA when applicable.
We have 800 aggregate regional courses of fire across the course matches and 600-yard prone matches during high-power season.

Typically, a 40-shot match consisting of 10 shots at 40, 60, 77, and 100 meters. Targets are 1/5 scale metallic silhouettes of chickens, pigs, turkeys, and rams. Matches are simply to knock the targets off the rails and have fun.
